As time goes by...............

Just wanted to say HI again, I had a very odd day yesterday the kind of day where its starts off rosy and then goes slightly pear shaped. Today has been totally different heres how.

I sat this evening on returning from school whilst cooking the tea thinking and realised that I had been engaged 1 year and 1 day today. So I found some photos from the happy day that Sean proposed and thought it may be nice to share it with you.

Glastonbury Tor September the 22nd 2007

Sean wanted to visit the Tor for ages, so off we went unbeknown to me it was going to be a very special day.

It was a lovely day after all that bad weather we had been having, and the scenery was very beautiful.

I sat and did my people sketching, my nosy way of people watching recording a moment in their lives without them knowing really. Sean caught a few snaps from the top.

Right there as I was sitting sketching, Sean came over to me and sat talking to me . He was telling me how he felt we were really good together, like pieces of a jigsaw, and peas in a pod then he asked me to marry him. ..................I cried and said YES!!!

Isn't life amazing really how we meet people and our lives change.

We visited the Chalice Well Gardens after our decent from the Tor. The gardens were so peaceful and tranquil see here http://www.chalicewell.org.uk/ This is where I found a four leaf clover............ What a lucky day! it was like a perfect sign of whats to come.

Red admiral (I think) in the chalice well garden.

After our visit we stopped off at Bristol. We waited till it was dark and then went across the suspension bridge it was all lit up and I caught this picture as Sean drove across. We went across twice as I loved going throught the toll (sad hey?) http://www.clifton-suspension-bridge.org.uk/

Pages from my sketch book that FANTASTIC day!

In the words of Julie Andrews

'I simply remember my favourite things and then I don't feel so bad'

I love that film. The sound of music, even saw Connie in the stage version early this year. It was very exciting. However I digress again!
As I was busy today sewing away, all happy with myself I had many thoughts. A lot of them quite silly nonsense which pops in your head as your busy. Some thoughts were ideas for more bags and textiles bits and bobs. I started to drift off making mental to do lists and thinking of things to record in my blog.

I decided that it was nice to feel in a happy state and so I thought I would make a visual diary of all the things which make me happy in life........ Enjoy. X

Drawing in my sketchbooks...... In fact just owning sketch books. HENSTEETH Sat shopping list came in very useful.

Shabby chic or my version of it.

Sod's Law

Murphy's Law......The law of gravity!!... All I know is I'm no longer in charge of what goes on round here. The following post will hopefully explain my absence this week and put you in the picture as to what my week has been like. Maybe ..... just maybe my karma or something has become unbalanced due to those pesky scientists this week messing with atoms or the like.

Anyway this evening started to unravel somewhat whilst I was cooking a delightful evening meal I found myself wrestling with an oxo cube thus having to clean the cooker top! I was having one of those 'shall we go to the chip shop evenings' but no I overcame my tiredness (laziness) and continued cooking. That's when it all went pear shaped, as Sean was putting away the clean cups a cheeky little glass decided to throw itself out the cupboard and smash sending lots of tiny pieces of glass around the kitchen and all over the cooker. After deliberating for a good 5 minutes we decided it best not to eat the contents of the saucepan which was cooking away nicely but to go to the chip shop. Just in case we ended up in casualty.

So what have I learnt today fellow blogger? Well if you have a little voice saying chip shop, chip shop submit straight away and save yourself a lot of bother.

I guess I have been battling with my blogging demons, Oh how right you all were to tell me that balancing, life, work, family, relaxation, healthy living, friends, planning weddings etc etc would be. But I refuse to give in, I my not be a die hard blogger after all......YET! But I will not stop.

Hmmm talking to over.

So here's what I have sort of been up to when I can fit it all in.

1. Wedding planing
2. Working on blog (well reading blogs)
3. Creating clutch bags
4. WIP corsages.....well a nice autumnal looking basket of wool.

Oh and just to clear up any confusion from my last post my long term love is for camper vans and not the pesky seagulls!

Ciao for now.

Happy Holidays

Hello all fellow bloggers. Thanks again for taking the time to read my words of wisdom'?' I appreciated all your encouragement and comments on my last post thank you.

Finally did the car boot sale BH Monday. Fab fab fab and had money for my little holiday.

Well its Monday again the weeks role round so quickly and I'll be back at school Wednesday I think I am probably more worried than the pupils. But hey....

So just thought I'd take the opportunity to fill you in on what I've been up to over the last week.

HOLIDAY>> Sean's sister and mom have a caravan in Wales so we spent a few days there chilling out, eating, drinking, walking, shopping, siteseeing etc etc.
Here is Welshpool near where we stayed I love the bunting in the street it reminds me of an English village fete, cups of tea and cakes!!! YUM
We visited a number of places whilst we were there and walked up a number of hills!!! Sean actually pushed me up the last one as my legs wouldn't cooperate. I loved the gorgeous scenery as we travelled around and I found number of fab shops. Lily Mo's in Welshpool stocks local crafts peoples work. I was in there a while!! Also found a fab antique shop and stocked up on old bits of antique lace.
Barmouth. I used to love coming here as a kid.

Friendly locals....

I fell in love when I was in Barmouth. Sean understands my long term love affair with these little fella's.

'Hannah'

Gorgeous gorgeous!! I don't know what it is about these little campers but I love them, VW Beetles too. So much so we are going to have a baby blue camper as the wedding car next year when we get married. SOOOOOOOOOOO excited, but more about that another time.

I have decided that despite the weather we are very fortunate really to live in such a beautiful country. Sean went here (Dolgoch Falls outside Tywyn) when he was younger and so we paid it a visit. The energy of falls was amazing.

During the evenings I knitted these little corsages, I may try to adapt them slightly as I progress but I didn't think they were too bad for a simple knitter like me.

So today I have been fairly productive, in between running in and out to the washing line hanging out and fetching back in washing that was almost dry then wet again. I am not saying anything GRRRRRRRR.

I have produced this .. the first of a many hopefully as I got a lucky break with a shop in Leicester where the owner has agreed to take some of my work on a sale or return basis. Very excited !!!!!!!!!!

So what do you think. Feedback would be very welcomed. I have hundred ideas buzzing in my head to alter improve the little bag but erm .... well you get the drift. Constructive criticism always appreciated.
