2for1 and STRIVING FOR PERFECTION????
Also on the mat was this little treasure my order from Michala of KAYLACOO. Even the envelope was beautifully adorned with this sketch.
I carefully unwrapped my gorgeous little broach all lovingly sent with ribbon and snippets of lace!! How very thoughtful!!

So after seeing this delight in a glossy mag I thought right........ Lets do a Nigella and get cracking...eggs...cracking see what I did there! Anyway enough... I decided to create a Victoria Sandwich. Surely the reason jam was invented I say!
I'm sort of impressed...well sort of. I guess the proof is in the eating just wasn't quite the picture I wanted its a bit wonky and slightly over cooked.
Whilst I was getting creative in the kitchen I noticed my Madeline tin my nan got me for Christmas! (Thanks nan X). So I thought Id give them a whirl.
I would like to say the ones below are mine!!
But sods law mine got a wee bit stuck!!
So if there is anyone with a penchant for these French little delights and your able to get them out the tin without smashing their delicate little sides just let me know how you do it PLEASE!!
They do taste nice though, I will have to retire now as I have eaten 5 and feel quite tired!! That and the fact I still need to dash to HOBBY CRAFT to obtain the shopping list my GCSE candidates have given me!
Oh and if anyone has a minute maybe you can check out my Art teachers FLICKR site. She was so ace when I was at School it was my all time favourite subject.
Bless! Have a good week everyone ! X

That friday Feeling!!! (2 weeks in pictures)
I was so happy to see I shared a Birthday with the very talented Miss Monda of MONDA LOVES.

4. Although wedding plans have taken over all creative thoughts and ideas, I have tried to keep making. Knitting has been a way of chilling out and also helping me remember things. As the needles click away my mind wanders and a new list of things to do also grows alongside my knitting.

White Rabbits??
I will at least try and keep up to date. Even if it is to show my appreciation of others work.
It's amazing what you do cram into your life, just quickly flicking through the photos I had taken it was bizarre to see moments of my life captured and replayed like a silent movie.
So I wish you all A HAPPY FEBRUARY>>> I love this month. It feels closer to spring yet it still has a wintry edge but the days are getting longer (slowly) its also mine and Sean's birthday (in fact it is his today HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAN !) he is currently engaged with his computer game bless.
Well just a quick catch up, to see what I have been doing. No textiles creations of late just wedding preparations but I thought it would be nice for you to see our plans.
Wightwick Manor Wolverhampton (National Trust Property
This is where we are getting married 3rd August this year.
I have been reading lots of Wedding glossies, lucky me my friend Beth is even into reading these and has passed on many a copy of Wedding Flowers.
My clever and creative friend Laura, has designed the surface pattern etc for our invites, I have then cut and pasted them into these fold out pocket cards.
I have wiled away many a wintry evening cutting and pasting to create a visual diary of inspiration.
I have been busy ordering bits and bobs from eBay. These wee labels are to hang on the teacups to mark places at the Wedding Breakfast tables.
I think this little lady is standing holding her head amidst the flowers trying to look composed, in the background their is a ledger/notes about finances. I think she is obviously taking on board the Credit Crunch as of late. Te he !
