Apologies for the lack of posts lately, it has been due to my cold bug and my ability to download IT problems!! So the computer has been in sick bay too. Ahhh such is life......felt cut off though without my computer. . .SAD I know. Its October this week and getting very Autumny (Autumn like) in our neck of the woods.
Enjoy your week everyone hope you are well.

A little of what you fancy does you good

After checking my INBOX I found a number of cheeky little enticing messages wanting me to part with my hard earned pounds. One from anthropologie.....just lovely little items at quite a BIG price....grimmace weep whimper. No....... must not spend silly amounts on cleverly marketed and nicely photographed garments, that quite frankly will not make me suddenly look like a superstar. I did wonder if this particularly little lady taught textiles like my good self, especially as she was wielding a large pair of fabric shears. But I have decided that she looks far too menacing to teach the youth of today and might scare the poor pupils.

My second e-mail was from Joules tempting me with some pastel loveliness. Hmmm dreamy, but once again I will behave and not have a spend.
Finally Hobbycraft invited me along to take part in their competition to win a little cupcake making machine. They cook in 4 minutes apparently which sounds a little too good to be true to me but who am I to question someones design capabilities.
So there we have it buy nice clothes then console yourself for spending too much money by eating cupcakes. Then cry and eat more cupcakes because you can no longer fit into nice clothes. Ahhh the trials of being a woman who loves cake!!
At least this icing kit looks nice, one size fits all too!!

Enjoy the rest of the week. X

Giganticus Mothicus n:(new species)

Holy Moley......I am still in recovery from my shock meeting with a LARGE moth like species. YIKES!!!!! To set the scene I am in my work room minding my own business as you do. Working like a trouper to finish two knitted purses for delivery the weekend. Its a warm night in our neck of the woods and so foolishly I left the window open. Lights on.....I am working.....I hear rustling behind the curtain.....I take a peek and see a shadow a la Alfred Hitchcock style........AHHHHHHHH Big winged creature. I shout husband .......he comes running. I have shut the moth in the room. I fill husband in, he is not impressed as he is mid way through a mug of tea. I push him in room and say 'Ill turn the light off ' husband thinks I am an idiot as moth creature will fly at him. I see the winged species has settled on light fitting. I have an idea that I should take a photo.....husband wants me to hurry up. I give him a jar. The moth moves rapidly husband nearly falls off chair. I laugh hysterically. Moth is caught, think it is some weird half butterfly version. I take close up photo through jar. Husband still thinks I am an idiot and so to do probably half our neighbours as we hang out the window and release captive moth/butterfly creature.
Life is never DULL here!

What first?

So much to do....... yet again. Why is it when you have so much to do that your body wants to do nothing!

I just want to read books and curl up on the sofa.

Yikes it must be my in built Autumn Alarm!

Started off as I mean to go on this autumn with Homemade Tomato Soup, delicious. We had lots of tomatoe's or so we thought until I saw my moms contribution. She had four plants sitting in her little greenhouse and has had an abundence of tomatoes hence the soup.

YUM
Thanks mom X

Back to School.......

First day back today and my brain is whirring already, I have come home ready to sort bits and bobs and made my new lunch bag ready for tommorrow. Geeky or what?

I was very lucky to receive kind gifts from my head of dept, a teacup full of roses and rosemary, and some cheeky chocs in a lovely little box. MMMMMMMMM heaven I will be off just now to catch my breath, eat my chocs and sip a nice cup of tea, courtesy of Mr H and the yorkshire tea folk.
The school year starts it feels like 5 mins since I was filling in the last planner, but the summer was a good one. Here is to the teaching year ahead and trying to make a difference for the pupils I teach. I will post my Eastbourne pics soon.
